We will check your existing Telstra modem to see if it’s nbn™ compatible when you request to switch onto the nbn network.
If it’s not, Telstra will provide you with a new, nbn compatible Telstra modem.
If I need a new modem to take up a service on the nbn network, will I have to pay extra for it?
If you’re connecting to the nbn network with us on an eligible plan, you won’t have to pay for a standard Telstra-supplied modem. This will be advised during your connection order.
Good to know:
- You can choose to supply your own modem, but that would be at your expense. You will need to check the specifications to confirm it is nbn compatible.
- You can upgrade to one of our premium modems for an additional cost.
