    Telstra Smart Wi-Fi Boosters are available to Telstra customers on an eligible home internet plan with a compatible Telstra Smart Modem.

    Once paired, a booster gives better coverage by boosting your Wi-Fi signal. Your devices can then connect with the same network name and password.

    No, once your Telstra Smart Wi-Fi Booster has paired with your smart modem, it will have the same network name and password as your Telstra Smart Modem.

    Compatibility

    The Telstra Smart Wi-Fi Booster is intended to give you wall to wall Wi-Fi inside the home. We can't guarantee coverage outside your home.

    No, Telstra Smart Wi-Fi Boosters are exclusive to Telstra home internet customers and are only compatible with Telstra Smart Modems.

    The Telstra Smart Wi-Fi Booster Gen 3 is compatible with Telstra Smart Modems 4 or older.

    The Telstra Smart Wi-Fi Booster works on all nbn connections.

    It isn't designed to work on ADSL or cable connections.

    The Telstra Smart Wi-Fi Booster Gen 2 is only compatible with Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 and 1.1.

    Telstra Smart Modem Gen 3 and later have more powerful Wi-Fi, so you may not need a booster. If you’re still having issues with your Wi-Fi, sign in to My Telstra to test and troubleshoot your internet.

    You'll need to upgrade to a Telstra Smart Modem to use a Telstra Smart Wi-Fi Booster.

    Wi-Fi Guarantee

    If you're not happy with your Wi-Fi coverage, we'll work with you to ensure your coverage reaches every room. This may include:

    • in My Telstra, Test and Troubleshoot
    • over the phone support
    • remote network speed tests.

    Check your internet connection in My Telstra:

    1. Go to Services
    2. Select your internet service
    3. Under Your connection, select Improve your connection
    4. Test and troubleshoot internet and follow the prompts.

    We may also send you up to three additional Telstra Smart Wi-Fi Boosters, at no additional cost.

    To order an additional booster:

    1. Go to telstra.com/fixwifi to run network checks and place an order if eligible
    2. Call 13 22 00.

    Our Wi-Fi Guarantee product is no longer available for new orders.

    To be eligible for the guarantee you must:

    • be on a Telstra nbn internet plan
    • have a Telstra Smart Modem.
