Our new Upfront Internet plans are simple and flexible, but they may not have all the features you need just yet. They are coming, but in the meantime a post-paid internet plan may be your best choice. Here are the main differences between Upfront and post-paid internet plans.

Post-paid internet plans

  • If you need features like Priority Assist, Ultrafast speed or a professional installation, your best choice is a post-paid internet plan. These Telstra features are currently not available on our Upfront Internet Plans.
  • With post-paid internet plans you get your bill at the end of every month.

  • If you want simpler upfront charging with no unexpected fees and you don't need features like Priority Assist, Ultrafast speed, Internet Optimiser or a professional installation – then your best choice is an Upfront Internet plan.
  • When you are on an Upfront plan, the only way to pay for your service is by an AutoPay payment from your bank account or credit/debit card. You’ll need to set up your AutoPay details when you sign up for this plan and you can update your payment method in the My Telstra app.
