The Telstra mobile network currently reaches 99.3 per cent of the population and is the largest network in the country, covering 2.4 million square kilometres, thanks to our long term commitment to network investment.

In June 2015, we announced that Telstra will build 429 new 3G and 4G towers as part of the Government’s Mobile Black Spot Programme, to better serve our customers in regional, rural and remote parts of Australia. In addition to the new mobile towers, we are also installing 250 Small Cells to deliver high speed 4G data services in country towns where suitable Telstra infrastructure is available. This $165 million program will continue over three years.
