Fee exemptions
Fee exemptions are available for:
- Concession card holders including pension, health care and Veterans’ Affairs.
- Those who receive large print bill copies.
Good to know: You will need to provide us with the details of your Australian Government Pension or Health Care Card either over the phone or in-store if these details aren’t already registered with us.

- Online in My Telstra
Pay your bill via:
- AutoPay
- BPAY
- PayPal
- Direct debit (bank account, debit card or credit card including Visa, Mastercard and American Express)
Frequently asked questions
You may be charged a billing and payment fee if you:
- Receive a paper bill, or
- Pay your bill in person at Australia Post
This fee includes GST. If you make more than one payment in a billing period, a fee applies to each payment.
The Payment processed includes GST and appears on your bill in the Account Charges & Credits section.
You can avoid fees by:
- Switching to an email or online bill
- Paying using a digital payment option (like AutoPay, direct debit, BPAY or PayPal)
- Paying online in the My Telstra app or by phone.
