Things you need to know
- Communications Recording requires a Telstra mobile service with unlimited standard national calls, a TIPT service, or SIP Connect service. Comms Recording is not available for wholesale customers or for resale.
- There are some scenarios where calls are not recorded. If recording for compliance purposes or regulated industries, a “Record Always” function can suppress features like Call Forwarding, Call Transfer and international roaming where recording cannot be guaranteed.
- With SIP Connect, Communications Recording will apply at the trunk level. Internal calls and transfers will not be recorded.
- Over the Top messaging applications like iMessage, WhatsApp etc. will not be recorded. Note that some smartphones integrate OTT messaging in their native dialling applications, and despite the SMS/MMS appearance, these messages will not be recorded when sent using a data connection.
- 12 months of recording storage is included. Additional storage can be purchased on request.
