How do I change my mobile plan?
In My Telstra:
- Go to Services and select your service
- Select View or manage your plan
- Scroll down, select Change your plan and follow the prompts.
I have an Upfront plan, are there any charges if I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
No, our Upfront mobile and data plans are month-to-month with no lock-in contracts, meaning you can move up or down the different plan tiers once per month without any early termination charges.
How long does it take for the new plan to start?
If you’re on an Upfront plan and move to a higher plan, the change is effective within a couple of hours. You’ll get the larger inclusions straight away and pay the higher amount from your next payment date.
If you downgrade your Upfront plan, the change will take place from your next payment date. You’ll still have access to the higher inclusions until the next payment date.
I’m not on an Upfront plan, are there any charges if I change my mobile plan?
If you’re not on an Upfront plan, you may need to pay an early termination charge when you change plans. You may also need to pay any remaining device or accessory payments.
Can I switch to an Upfront plan?
Yes, you can move to an Upfront plan, but you may need to pay any outstanding charges on your current plan as a one-off payment when you change plans.
