How to block unwanted emails

Email servers generally have good spam filters, but sometimes spam or junk mail still gets through. We highlight a few tips to block spam, junk or unwanted emails from regularly reaching your inbox. While the steps in this video are for Outlook 2016, most email software - whether web-based like Gmail or computer based - have similar ways of dealing with spam and unwanted email.

A good rule of thumb is never to open an email from a sender you don’t recognise, or if it looks suspicious. It's also good practice to clear out your spam or junk mail boxes, as well as your deleted items folders/ rubbish bin on a regular basis.
