Cleaner Pipes helps stop threats before they reach you

Our Cleaner Pipes initiative helps keep your phone and internet safer by blocking threats before they reach you. 

In 2024, we blocked on average:

  • 11 million scam calls and 15 million scam SMS every month
  • tens of millions of malicious websites from loading
  • tens of millions of suspicious BigPond emails monthly.

Scam Protect is your built-in scam shield

Telstra Scam Protect is a free feature automatically activated on Telstra mobile services:

  • shows warning messages for suspicious calls
  • detects fake numbers pretending to be local
  • nothing to install and no need to configure settings.

Since launch, Scam Protect has flagged over 100 million scam calls. That's more than 80 suspicous calls every minute.
