Protect your Telstra account against unauthorised access
Set up a Telstra PIN and keep your details up to date to help keep your Telstra account secure. You can do this online, in store or by calling us.
Why account security matters
Keeping your Telstra account secure is essential. That's why we use two-step verification and a Telstra PIN to help protect your account. These tools ensure that only you can access and manage your services.
What is two-step verification?
Two-step verification is an increased level of security that helps protect you from fraud and identity theft. Even if someone gets hold of your password, they won’t be able to access your account without a second verification step.
It's a mandatory step for our customers following new identity verification rules by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA).
