About the Telstra Telecommunications Traineeship

During our Traineeship Program, you’ll join Telstra full-time, developing knowledge and skills through both a classroom environment and out in the field, alongside a mentor to guide you on your way.

We will prep you with the capabilities and knowledge to become a qualified Telecommunications Technician at Telstra, with the opportunity of a full-time position after your training.

Program eligibility

To be considered for the opportunity you will need the following skills & attributes:

  • Drivers Licence.
  • Ability to undergo pre-employment medical and drug alcohol screening.
  • Physically fit for the role. 
  • Ability to undertake a police check.

Telecommunications Traineeship

As a Field Delivery Telecommunications Trainee, you will work alongside a mentor offering you on going coaching, support and mentoring during your traineeship. You will get hands on training providing our customers with a great experience by activating and assuring telecommunications / technology products and services, in homes and/or business.

You will actively participate in a diverse team environment to deliver the optimum customer and commercial outcomes aligned to Telstra’s values and strategy.

Earn while you learn

As a Trainee, you’ll be provided a full-time fixed term employment. Opportunities for permanent positions will then be made available after completion of your traineeship.

Of course, you can! Spaces on the traineeships arecompetative and limited to a small intake each round. We welcome any applications that may not have progressed previously.
