There are different ways to connect to the nbn™ network, depending on your current set-up and location.
Identify your connection method below and read the appointment guide for more information.
Fibre to the Premises (FTTP)
Get connected to the internet through a fibre-optic cable either below ground or via overhead cables to your premises.
Fibre to the Node (FTTN)
Get connected to the internet through a fibre connection to a neighbourhood node or pillar, which then runs on the existing copper network to connect to your premises. This is more typical for single-storey buildings (e.g. retail shop fronts).

Fibre to the Building (FTTB)
Get connected to the internet through a fibre connection in the basement or communications room in the building, which then runs on the existing copper network to other levels in the building. This is more typical for multi-storey buildings.
Fixed Wireless (FW)
Get connected to the Internet through a fixed wireless connection delivered via an antenna attached to your premises. This is more common in areas that have previously been unable to get high-speed fixed-line broadband services.

Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC)
Get connected to the internet through a fibre connection delivered by HFC cable directly to your premises. This is more common in areas that may have HFC cable available in the premise.
