Can I keep my current email address?
If you are currently using domain email (i.e. yourname@yourbusiness.com.au) then you can continue to use this email address.
To do this, you can either:
- Let Telstra host your domain name and use the Microsoft Email service that is included with your Digital Business package;
- Transfer your domain name to Telstra but continue to use your current email provider; or
- Keep your domain name hosting and email with your current service provider.
If you are currently using ISP email i.e. yourname@yourisp.com.au then you will need to speak to your ISP about whether or not they will let you maintain your email address after cancelling your internet service with them. Telstra Bigpond customers taking up Digital Business can maintain their BigPond email address at no additional charge.
If you are currently using a free email service such as gmail, hotmail or yahoo then you can continue to use this service.
However, you may wish to consider changing to domain email, as it is included in your Digital Business Package, provides your business with a more professional image and makes it easier for customers to remember your email address.
