Roam around the
world for $10 a day.

Get unlimited calls and texts, plus 200MB of data per day (data expires daily based on AEST) to use in eligible countries with our $10 International Day Pass. $5 a day in NZ.

Are you a Telstra Pre-Paid customer?
Small Business customer?

Roam far and wide while sending pics, using apps and maps, and making and receiving calls and texts – all with your own phone number.

Our $10 a day charge only applies when you make or receive a call, send an SMS or use up to 200MB of mobile data (data expires daily based on AEST). For example, if you go to the USA for seven days and only use your phone for three of those days, you’ll be charged $30.

And if you go over your daily 200MB limit you’ll get an additional 500MB capped at $10, which is valid for 31 days in eligible countries.

FAQs

  1. Where is international roaming available and what are the rates?
International roaming is available in over 200 countries. Check the countries you’ll be visiting and find out what the rates are with our coverage map.

  2. How do I activate my international roaming?
If you’re on a plan, you can activate international roaming via the Telstra 24x7® app, Telstra 24x7 My Account or My Plan Manager by following the steps in our help and support page.

If you’re a Pre-Paid customer, international roaming should already be enabled on your service. If you’ve disabled it, you can contact us to switch it back on.

  3. How can I reduce my phone bill while I’m overseas?
Try to use Wi-Fi wherever you can. Free Wi-Fi is available at Telstra Air® Fon Spots in over 80 countries – just activate Telstra Air before you leave Australia.

You can also cancel MessageBank® before your trip so you’re not charged to listen to your messages. While you’re overseas, your voice messages will be converted to texts and sent to you.

  4. Do I need to switch off international roaming when I return home?
