1. Pay with points
If you're a Telstra customer, you can sign up to our rewards program, Telstra Plus.
You'll earn 10 points per dollar you spend on your monthly bill. This includes postpaid mobile, prepaid mobile, mobile broadband, and internet. You can check your points balance in the My Telstra app or in My Account.

2. Use our 7 Day Price Match
Want to make sure you get the best price on a new phone? Our 7 Day Price Match is the way to do it.
Let's say you buy a phone with Telstra - either outright or on a plan - and a few days later you see it cheaper somewhere else. Not a problem.

Get proof of the lower price by grabbing the webpage URL or a photo of a valid advertisement. Then submit a claim within 7 days of receiving your phone.
We'll let you know when your claim is approved and credit your bill with the difference in price.
7 Day Price Match is available for post-paid mobile handsets purchased from any Telstra Branded Stores, Telstra Shop Online, Telstra Messaging, Telstra Call Centres or in a Telstra Shop.
3. Trade-in for credit
Most of us have a spare old phone – maybe even two or three – rattling around at the bottom of a drawer somewhere. We also know that a bit of spare credit on your Telstra bill can come in handy at any time, especially if you’re choosing a new phone.
To be eligible for the trade-in program, you must be a Telstra consumer or small business customer aged 18+, and have a post-paid service with us (other than a Telstra Upfront Mobile Plan). Devices on Telstra Mobile Lease Plans are ineligible for trade-in.
Trading in your old phone involves a few simple steps:
- Log into the My Telstra app.
- On the Services tab, select the mobile number of your preferred account.
- Scroll down and select 'Got an old device?'
- Complete the assessment to see if your device is eligible.
You'll receive instructions on how to send your device via an Australia Post outlet.
If your device is accepted for trade-in, we'll apply your credit within two billing cycles.
4. Pay now or pay later
If you're looking to lighten the upfront cost, Telstra has a wide range of phones and devices that you can pay off over 12 or 24 months when you add them to a mobile or data plan.
You can also add selected accessories to your bill and pay them off as you go. If you leave, simply pay out your device and any accessories you've added.
If you'd rather get the payment done and dusted you can purchase most devices outright.
