Telstra One Number is a subscription service that allows you to connect a secondary device, such as a cellular-enabled smart watch, to the Telstra mobile network. You can then use your cellular-enabled smart watch to make and receive calls, and send and receive messages without your phone.

Telstra One Number costs an extra $5 per month, which is charged to your existing AutoPay payment method.

Anyone on a personal, post-paid Telstra mobile plan with an eligible device can get Telstra One Number.

Good to know: It takes about 10 minutes to subscribe to the Telstra One Number and connect your cellular-enabled smart watch with your phone. There may be a delay of up to four hours before your cellular-enabled smart watch will work over the mobile network

No, only one cellular-enabled smart watch can be connected to your Telstra mobile service at a time.

If you wish to connect a different cellular-enabled smart watch, you can do so via the relevant watch app on your smartphone. Doing so will disconnect your currently connected cellular-enabled smart watch from the network.

Calls and texts from your cellular-enabled smart watch over the Telstra mobile network count towards your mobile plan's monthly allowance.

So if your combined usage on your phone and cellular-enabled smart watch goes over your plan’s allowance, you'll be charged for the additional usage in accordance with your mobile plan's call or text rates.

Data used on your cellular-enabled smart watch counts towards your mobile plan’s monthly data allowance. We'll automatically top you up with extra data at $10 per 1GB if you go over your plan's monthly allowance.

Yes, you can but making calls in this manner requires both devices to have a mobile network connection; it can’t be done using a Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection.

You can still pair your cellular-enabled smart watch to your phone via Bluetooth, without subscribing to Telstra One Number. You only need a Telstra One Number if you want to connect your two devices on our mobile network so you can make and receive calls, and send and receive messages on your cellular-enabled smart watch.

Pairing means establishing a Bluetooth connection between your cellular-enabled smart watch and phone. When paired, the cellular-enabled smart watch is entirely dependent on the phone to receive calls, texts and data.

Subscribing to the Telstra One Number lets you connect both devices to our mobile network. This allows the cellular-enabled smart watch to receive calls, texts and data independently of the phone.

If your cellular-enabled smart watch or phone is lost or stolen, you can help stop unauthorised access to your account, contact us to block your phone.

For more information, read our lost or stolen devices guide.

You can cancel your Telstra One Number subscription anytime via My Telstra. Alternatively, contact us between 8am and 9pm AEST or find a store

If you cancel your subscription part way through a month, you’ll only be charged up to the date of cancellation. Once cancelled, your device will no longer be able to access our mobile network.
