How do I activate my Pre-Paid service?
Before you start, you’ll need two things:
- Your SIM serial number - which you’ll find on your SIM starter kit or the packaging your device came in
- One valid form of ID. This can be your:
- Australian driver’s licence or learner's permit
- Medicare card
- Australian passport
- International passport with a valid Australian Visa
Once you’re ready, use your smartphone, tablet or desktop computer to activate your service and follow the prompts. You don’t need an internet connection or credit balance to access this page.
If you’ve chosen to get a new number, your service will normally be active within 20 minutes, but it can take up to 4 hours. If your service isn’t active after 4 hours, check our outages and notifications page for current service disruptions.
