    Frequently asked questions

    Fetch Mini

Fetch Mini doesn't have the ability to record content. However, you can pause a TV program you're watching. If you leave the channel paused, it will automatically go back to playing live after 15 minutes.

You can also use the reverse EPG to watch shows you’ve missed. Open the TV Guide and press the left arrow on your remote to move to the left of the channel logos. Programs available to re-watch have a play icon.

    Fetch Mighty

The Fetch Mighty can record up to six channels whilst you watch a seventh. Each of the three recording tuners can record two free-to-air channels from the same channel family at the same time.

It can also pause and rewind TV. When you start watching a channel, the Fetch Mighty automatically stores the channel for up to 3 hours. You can use your Fetch remote to pause, rewind and fast-forward as much as you like within this time, as long as you stay on the same channel. You can see the Pause Live TV ‘buffer’ as a progress bar below the program information.

You can reset your Parental PIN in the My Telstra app:

    1. Go to Services
    2. Select your Fetch service
    3. Select Reset your Parental PIN.

You can set your favourite channels to appear at the top of your TV Guide.

To add a favourite channel, highlight the channel in the guide and press the yellow button on your remote. You’ll see a yellow bar added next to the channel. It will then appear at the top of the guide and in its usual position.

You can also create favourite channels at Menu > Settings > Channels > Manage and tick Favourite.

To hide a channel, go to Menu > Settings > Channels > Manage and tick Hide.

My Media Hub lets you play your own music, videos, and photos on your TV from a USB Device, or from a compatible PC or Mac on your home network.

Refer to the relevant My Media Hub Quick Start Guide from the Fetch User Guides for more information.

Good to know: My Media Hub is not available on the Fetch Mini (model number HY4424).

If you’re a Telstra Plus member, you can use your Telstra Plus points on your Fetch box to rent or buy selected movies and shows. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Go to Menu > Store on your Fetch box
    2. Select the title you wish to buy or rent and follow the prompts to buy or rent.
    3. In the purchase options, you can view the number of points available and the required points or dollar amount for renting or buying a title.
    4. You have the flexibility to use points or dollars for the transaction.

Some titles in the Store may not be purchased using points, and if you have any Movie Rental Credits available, you must use them before you can use points to rent movies on Fetch. Currently, Telstra Plus points can only be redeemed on the Fetch box, not when renting or buying through the Fetch Mobi app.

To view your Telstra Plus points on your Fetch box, go to Menu > Settings > Telstra Plus.

Not a Telstra Plus member yet? To sign up or find out more, visit Telstra Plus. After signing up, allow up to two hours for your membership to be reflected on your Fetch box.

The Home screen, accessed via the Menu button, lets you access content you’ve watched, recorded, favourited, purchased or rented.

    Directly on the Home screen:

    • Where you left off shows content and apps you’ve recently watched. Select a tile to pick up where you left off.
    • Recommended on Netflix and other app carousels show content you watched on streaming apps.

    To access your recordings:

If you have a Fetch Mighty, or a Fetch Mini connected to a Fetch Mighty with multiroom, you can access all your recent recordings by selecting Recordings on the Home screen.

To see all your recordings, scroll and select All Recordings. This section also contains the Scheduled and Priority areas to find and manage your recordings.

Good to know: Personalised content is made available by the streaming app provider. Currently, Fetch receives feeds from Netflix, Youtube, Stan, Paramount+, Prime Video, but not from Apple TV+, Disney+, BritBox, DocPlay, Hayu, Plex, Spotify, TikTok, Twitch, or NBA: Live Games & Scores.

Fetch has introduced the ability to watch free-to-air TV channels associated with ABC, SBS, 7, 9 and 10 networks, without the need for a TV aerial. This is often called free-to-air over IP or digital broadcast.

Available in the Fetch TV guide within the channel 400-500 range, the feature allows the user to access the live broadcast streams of each network without having to go into their specific apps.

Set up access to the channels

To access these channels, users must sign in to each network's specific catch-up app. These applications can be accessed in the Apps section on the Fetch device.

From the Home Screen, select Apps, then scroll to Free to Air Apps.

Select each network’s app and sign in:

    • ABC iview for the ABC network
    • SBS On Demand for the SBS network
    • 7plus for the 7 network
    • 9Now for the 9 network
    • 10play for the10 network.

If you have not registered and signed into these apps before, you may need to link your email address to gain access to the applications.

Open each application and follow the prompts on screen to register and link your Fetch device.

Once you’ve signed in and linked your Fetch device, you won’t need to do this again. You can then access each station’s channel broadcast via the Fetch TV guide.
