AutoPay is a form of direct debit. AutoPay payments are made upfront, automatically each month, using your default credit card, debit card or bank account. You won't receive a bill, but we’ll send you a digital receipt once your payment has been processed.
How to move to automatic payments for your Telstra bill?
If you pay for your Upfront Plans via Telstra bill and want to automate your payments, you can set up AutoPay in the My Telstra app or My Telstra in a browser.

Set up AutoPay in the My Telstra app
To set up AutoPay:
- Sign into My Telstra and go to Payments,
- On your service card, select Set up AutoPay and Continue
- Choose your payment method and follow the prompts.

You'll get a reminder
You'll get a reminder notification 3 days before your AutoPay payment is due for the Upfront Plan.

Paying upfront
Your AutoPay payment will be taken from your nominated card or bank account on your payment date for the month ahead.

We'll send you an AutoPay receipt
We’ll send you a digital receipt once your payment has been processed. You can also view your digital receipt in the My Telstra app or My Telstra in a browser.
How will I pay for any subscriptions I have?
Any subscription services (gaming, streaming, sports, cybersecurity, etc.) will be charged through AutoPay as per your subscription renewal date, which may be different to your AutoPay payment date.
