Brightstar will send you a return pack within 5 days of placing your trade-in order. This pack will contain a padded envelope and instructions on how to return your old phone to them.
Receive a credit on your Telstra bill
Once your old phone has been received and assessed by Brightstar, the credit will be applied to your Telstra bill.
Your trade-in checklist
Visit the Brightstar trade-in website
Upload your photo ID showing your current address to their website
Make sure you back up your data from your old phone
Once you receive your pre-paid satchel, restore your phone to factory settings before posting it

The Trade-In program is operated by Brightstar Logistics Pty Ltd (Brightstar). We provide elements of the offer as agents of BrightstarAs Brightstar manage the trade-in process, we will lead you through to the Brightstar website to complete your trade-in.
Why do you want my identification?
The Trade-in program is operated by Brightstar. who is a registered Second-Hand Dealer. As part of Brightstar’s Licence they arerequired by law to obtain proof of identity from you.
Forms of identification that can be uploaded
You’ll need to upload your proof of identity that shows; your full name, current address, photo, date of birth and your signature.

Need more support?
The credit offer will vary depending on your device type, the model, and the working condition of your device. You may choose to return your device in-store and elect to apply the credit towards in-store purchases or your Telstra bill. Any unused in-store credit will be forfeited. If you trade in your device online www.telstra.com/tradein you may only apply the credit to your Telstra bill.
