To upgrade your phone on an existing Telstra mobile plan, follow these steps below.

  1. Check your current plan status
    Additional charges may apply if you upgrade before your plan or device contract end date.

  2. Choose a new phone and plan
    Select the new phone that you’d like to upgrade to. Then select a new mobile plan and add your selections to your cart.

  3. Sign in to upgrade
    Sign in to our secure online checkout with your Telstra ID, then select “Use existing service” and choose the service you wish to upgrade.
    No Telstra ID? Create one
    Note: In the online checkout, you’ll be asked if you’d like to keep your current mobile number or get a new one.

You can also check the status of your plan in the My Telstra app.  

We offer a 7 Day Price Match on eligible mobile phones. If you find a better price within 7 days of receiving your new, eligible phone from Telstra, we’ll credit the difference to your bill. Learn more about 7 Day Price Match

We don’t offer a price match on our plans, but we do offer a 7 Day Price Match on eligible mobile phones. If you find a valid lower price on an identical phone within 7 days of receiving your new phone from Telstra, we’ll credit the difference to your bill. 

The 7 Day Price Match is available to eligible Telstra personal and small business customers who purchase an eligible mobile phone from us, outright or on repayment. Learn more about 7 Day Price Match

Sometimes a device may be out of stock in a certain colour and storage size combination. If a combination is unavailable, you can try choosing a different colour and/or storage size. If it’s still out of stock online, try your nearest Telstra store

When you order an item with Telstra, we’ll provide you with an order number via email or SMS. Use your number to check your order with our order tracker.
