Why is my Telstra Mail suspended?

Your Telstra email account may be suspended for a number of reasons, including suspicious activity, no activity for more than 180 days or you’re no longer a Telstra customer. Find out how you can restore your account.

    To keep your email active, you need to use it at least once every 180 days.

    To reactivate your Telstra email or BigPond email:

    Important

    It takes about 30 minutes for us to reactivate your account. Your Telstra Mail account can be reactivated providing it has not been deactivated for more than six months.

    When you close your Telstra account you can tell us you want to keep your email. 

    To keep your email active, you need to use it at least once every 180 days.

    If you haven’t used your email in over 180 days we may suspend your email address. 

    You’ll need to chat with us to restore your Telstra account so we can reactivate your email address.

    If your email account has been compromised, we may have suspended it or reset your Telstra ID to protect against unauthorised use.
