How do I cancel my Telstra service?
Before cancelling your service make sure you take time to check your contract status and any upgrade offers or any Early Termination charges you may incur, as well as any remaining device, accessory or handset repayments, such as for a mobile phone or a Telstra Gateway modem.
What if I signed up for a Mobile or Data Plan after 25 June 2019?
A Device Payment Contract (DPC) lets you pay off your mobile or tablet in interest-free monthly repayments over 24 or 36 months but only if you’ve signed up for a Mobile or Data Plan after 25 June 2019.
If you decide to disconnect your plan or end your DPC, you’ll be required to pay the balance of your remaining device repayments in one final payment.

Once you’ve done that and if you still want to proceed with cancelling your service or switching to another provider, either:
- Chat with us online to see if we can find a Telstra plan that works better for you.
- Give us a call on 13 22 00 and say ‘disconnect.’
