Check if you're eligible

To access these exclusive student offers, you’ll need to:

  • Be in store at a participating Telstra store, message us online or call us
  • Be a current Australian tertiary student enrolled in a recognised university or TAFE.
  • Have a valid tertiary email address, added to your account contract. It must match your ID, be verified through our secure system and complete a two-step verification to confirm your identity.
  • Sign up as a new activation (existing services aren’t eligible).

Each eligible customer can redeem one of each offer (Postpaid, Prepaid, mobile broadband and home internet) and cannot redeem the same offer more than once.

 

How to sign up for tertiary student offers

It’s quick and easy to get started.

You can begin by visiting a participating Telstra store, messaging us online or calling us.

Step 2: Verify your eligibility

Share both of the following:

  • A valid Australian tertiary student ID
  • A verified tertiary email address

Step 3: Receive your offer

If eligible, a coupon code will be applied to your chosen service (Upfront Mobile Plan, Pre-Paid SIM Kit, Upfront Data Plan or Home Internet) and automatically activated.

If you're not eligible, you'll be notified.

Things you need to know

  1. Offer is currently available in Telstra-branded retail stores, messaging, and call centre channels (starting 4 Nov).
  2. To be eligible students must be enrolled in an Australian Tertiary Institution with a valid Tertiary Institution issued email address.
  3. The eligible customer must be present in-store or with our messaging/call agent at the time of applying the offer.
  4. Tertiary email addresses must be:
    1. Added to the customer's account contact information
    2. Verified through the existing two-factor authentication (2FA) process in Console
  5. Eligibility applies to new activations only for both Consumer and Small Business customers.
  6. Offers are limited to one redemption per eligible student per service type, as follows:
    1. Upfront Mobile Plans
    2. Pre-Paid Mobile
    3. Upfront Data Plans
    4. Home Internet
  7. The same offer cannot be redeemed more than once by the same eligible customer or on the same service type.
  8. Offers are linked to the verified tertiary email associated with the customer's account at the time of redemption.
  9. Accounts with multiple eligible tertiary students may each redeem one offer, provided each has a verified tertiary email added and validated.
  10. Customers may update their contact email address after the offer has been applied, however, the verified tertiary email must be present at the time of redemption.
  11. If you're unsure whether your tertiary institution qualifies, check if it's a recognised university or TAFE to confirm eligibility.
