How do I do it?
It's best to get set-up to use your mobile as a modem before you start travelling because you will need to have software installed on your laptop to get started. Just install the CD software that came with your Next G™ mobile on your laptop and you're ready to go. When you're out and about and you want to use the internet, just plug your mobile into the laptop using the USB cord that came with your Next G™ mobile and start browsing.

Pricing
The way to get the best value when using your mobile as a modem is with a data browsing pack. That way you stay in control of how much you spend as you are notified when you are close to your limit which means no surprises at bill time. There are a variety of data browsing packs to choose from, depending on how much you want to use each month, and you have the flexibility to change your pack as your needs change.

Things you need to know
This capability may not be available on all devices.
- To be eligible for these packs you must connect and stay connected to an eligible Telstra post-paid mobile plan.
- Unused data allowance expires each month. Excludes some services.
- Where the volume of data transferred is not a whole number of kilobytes, it is rounded up to the nearest kilobyte at the end of each session or 24 hour period, whichever is the shorter. 1024 bytes = 1 kilobyte and 1024 kilobytes = 1 megabyte. Charges for excess eligible data usage are calculated per kilobyte.
