Browsing Charges for the Web
Browsing charges (also known as data charges) are based on the amount of data that you use to browse and download, not on the amount of time spent using the application. These charges only apply when you:
- access sites on the Web tab such as ebay, MySpace Mobile, Yahoo! and Hotmail through BigPond® Mobile
- leave the Home or Search tabs (for example, by clicking on an external website link in a Sensis Search results screen) or
- directly access sites from your mobile browser (for example by directly typing in a URL or selecting a bookmarked site from your mobile browser).
In most cases, you will be notified that browsing or content charges apply before you access as a site for which you will be charged.
3G & Next G™ Browsing Packs
When browsing the mobile web from your Telstra Next G handset, you can choose to:
- Subscribe to a Browsing Pack, which will give you an included MB allowance every month for Great Value web browsing, or;
- 'Pay As You Go', at the rate of $2 per MB.

Pay As You Go (PAYG)
The Pay As You Go rate is $2/MB for Telstra Consumer customers. For Telstra Business customers, visit www.telstrabusiness.com.
Pay As You Go doesn't have any included allowance, and you will be charged on a kilobyte (or part) basis. For example if you use 0.5MB in one session, it will cost $1. If your mobile is on an eligible post-paid Telstra plan, you can purchase Browsing Packs by calling 125 111, clicking on the 'My' Tab on your mobile, or visiting any Telstra Shop or dealer.
Pre-Paid Browse Plus Packs

If you have a Pre-Paid mobile service, Browse Plus Packs also give you a set amount of data. Once you have used your allowance in the pack you revert to PAYG charges but you can purchase a new Browse Plus Pack at any time. These packs are not on a monthly subscription. Browse Plus Packs are available from 20MB to 4GB of included data. Unused included data expires after 30 days.

Content & Subscription Service Charges
You may also be charged for content to play or download from BigPond Mobile Services and through sites on the Web tab, or for subscription services.
You will usually be notified of content or subscription charges when you visit a web site and you will be asked to confirm your acceptance of the charge before proceeding. If your mobile phone is on a plan, all BigPond Mobile Services content and subscription service charges will appear on your Telstra bill. If you have a Pre-Paid service, your BigPond Mobile Services content and subscription service charges will be deducted from your Pre-Paid account balance.
