Our legacy - Small Business

LVLY

Meet Telstra Business Women's Awards 2020 Victorian State Winner in the Small Business category.

A flower brand focused on innovation and customer service

In 2015, while working in the advertising industry, Hannah Spilva co-founded online flower gifting company, LVLY. Setting out to challenge the floristry industry, LVLY has since become famous for its cheeky brand and convenient same day delivery service.

Lighting the way for female entrepreneurs

Through creative problem solving and design thinking, LVLY developed a packaging solution that allows it to ship freshly arranged flowers via the mainstream postal network. This helped establish LVLY as a national business and the only florist in Australia that is able to make and dispatch products across the entire country.

With LVLY’s strong focus on brand, innovation and customer service, Spilva was recognised in the 2020 Telstra Business Women’s Awards and continues to help light the way for other female entrepreneurs.

I want to spark an honest debate about vulnerability and self-doubt not being a weakness, but a weapon we can channel to build businesses that make the world a better place.

Paying it forward with flowers

Deeply passionate about creating a positive impact for her team, customers, industry and environment, Hannah believes that even in a digitally focused business, real human connections are paramount.

“Sending flowers and gifts is a way of being there when you can’t physically be there, it’s a ritual as old as time that has been revolutionised thanks to direct to consumer e-commerce businesses like LVLY”.

Passionate about paying it forward, LVLY has created two initiatives designed to give back to the local community and spread joy beyond its customers. Every week, it donates all unsold posies to aged care facilities and hospices, as well as hitting the streets on a Friday afternoon to flower-bomb strangers. The second initiative is a partnership with the Homie Pathway project, a program created to help get homeless youths back into meaningful employment.
