Our story
Telstra Best of Business Awards were created to celebrate Australia's best small and medium-sized businesses.
Why small and medium-sized businesses?
Small and medium businesses are the foundation of Australia’s financial, cultural and social prosperity. The successful ones can adapt to both their own and their community's changing needs.
Telstra Best of Business Awards were created to celebrate the achievements of these businesses, while giving them the opportunity to learn from Australia’s best business minds. We're passionate about recognising standout businesses while inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Seven award categories
We've meticulously designed Telstra Best of Business Awards to celebrate the success stories, diversity and brilliance of Australia's small and medium-sized businesses. We aim to represent the scope of them all across seven dedicated categories.
Our award categories include Accelerating Women, Building Communities, Championing Health, Embracing Innovation, Indigenous Excellence, Outstanding Growth and Promoting Sustainability.

We accept nominations all year round. If you know an exceptional business moving Australia forward, nominate them today.
Stage 1
4 March - 26 April 2024
This initial stage is a multiple choice assessment of your business and how successful it is. Your total score will determine whether you progress to stage 2. You will be advised of the outcome of your entry by email.
Stage 2
2 May - 24 May 2024
For this stage, the goal is to gain a deeper understanding of your business and give you an opportunity to expand on your answers from stage 1.
