The Talent Acquisition team talk about the steps involved in the hiring process at Telstra.

FOOTAGE: We open with a view of a Telstra high-rise office building from the outside. The title “Telstra Recruitment Process” is shown over the top. We are then introduced to Caan, who is standing inside a Telstra office space talking to the camera.
CAAN: Hi there, I'm Caan. I'm here to walk you through the Telstra recruitment process. At Telstra, we value each and every candidate and want to make your journey as seamless as possible.
FOOTAGE: We change location to a stage, where we see Joanne, standing and also speaking to the camera.
JOANNE: That's right. I'm Joanne, and we're here to guide you through every step of the way, so let's get started.
FOOTAGE: A title appears and reads “Step 1: Candidate Phone Screening” before showing footage of a computer screen, scrolling the Telstra Careers job board. We then return to Caan standing in the same position as before.
CAAN: Once you've applied for the role, either through the Telstra career website or via the job board, your application will be sent to a recruiter to review. If you are suitable, the first step is a brief phone interview.
FOOTAGE: Footage is overlayed with Caans voice as they continue to speak. We see two people speaking over the phone, one is a candidate and the other a recruiter as they conduct a phone screen.
CAAN: This is a call where we get to know a little bit more about you and your background. It's also a great opportunity for you to ask any questions that you might have about the role or the company.
FOOTAGE: A title appears and reads “Step 2: Hiring Manager Interviews” before We return to Joanne in the same location Infront of a stage.
JOANNE: Next, we have the hiring manager and candidate interview. This is a more in-depth discussion about your skills, experience and motivations.
FOOTAGE: Footage is overlayed with Joanne’s voice as they continue to speak. We see the same candidate conducting an online interview with a Hiring manager over a video call.
CAAN: It's your chance to showcase your talents and show us how you can make a difference at Telstra.
FOOTAGE: A title appears and reads “Step 3: Job Specific Assessment” before We return to Joanne in the same location Infront of a stage. We then see footage overlayed, showing a candidate at home working on their job assessment document.
JOANNE: After the interview with the hiring manager, you may be asked to complete a job specific assessment. This could be anything from a business case study to a coding test, depending on the role you're applying for.
FOOTAGE: We return to Caan, standing in a Telstra office space.
CAAN: It's a great way for us to see your skills in action. This may differ from role to role, and the assessments may be different at each interview stage.
FOOTAGE: A title appears and reads “Step 4: References, Security and Background checks” before We return to Joanne in the same location Infront of a stage.
JOANNE: If you have been identified as a preferred candidate, our recruiter will connect and provide feedback and outcomes to you from your interview.
FOOTAGE: We see Caan, Still standing in the office before switching back to Joanne to talk.
CAAN: The next steps will be conduct References, Security and Background Checks. We do this to ensure that we bring the best talent to Telstra.
JOANNE: In some cases, depending on the role or location, you may also be required to undergo a medical assessment. It's a simple process that ensures that you're fit and healthy for the role.
FOOTAGE: A title appears and reads “Step 5: Verbal and Contract Offer” then cutting to Caan in the office.
CAAN: And finally, if all goes well, we'll give you the great news that you've been successful in your application and send you out of contract. This is the exciting part where we officially welcome you to the Telstra team.
FOOTAGE: We move to a new space on a stage where Joanne is standing and speaking to us. As she speaks, Caan approaches from the side to join her.
