Driver licence categorised by state or territory
- Your licence number is on the front of the card, on the left, under your date of birth.
- Your card number is on the front of the card, running vertically along the left-hand side of your photo.
- The expiry date is on the front of the card, to the right of your licence number.
- Your licence number is on the front of the card, on the left, under your address.
- Your card number is on the front of the card, at the top right, above your photo.
- The expiry date is on the front of the card, in the bottom right corner, under your photo.
- Your licence number is on the front of the card, to the right of your photo, under your name.
- Your card number is on the back of the card in the bottom-right corner, after the number ‘13'.
- The expiry date is on the front of the card, in the bottom-right corner.
- Your licence number is on the front of the card, at the top right, above your photo.
- Your card number is:
- on the front of the card, at the bottom centre (for cards issued before 2019)
- on the back of the card, in the bottom-right corner (for cards issued after 2019).
- The expiry date is on the front of the card, to the left of your photo.
- Your licence number is on the front of the card, in the top-left corner.
- Your card number is on the back of the card, in the top-right corner.
- The expiry date is on the front of the card, at the top and to the right of your date of birth.
- Your licence number appears in two places on the front of the card:
- at the top left, above your photo
- near the centre, under your address.
- Your card number is on the back of the card, in the top-right corner.
- The expiry date is on the front of the card, under your date of birth.

- Your card number may be in the following places on the back of the card:
- in the top-right corner
- in the bottom-left corner (on the change of address sticker)
- on the right-hand side roughly halfway down the card.

Australian and international passports
- Your document number is in the top-right corner of the page that shows your details. This is 1 or 2 letters followed by 7 numbers.
- The expiry date is under the date of issue on the page that shows your details.
- For international passports, the document number is referred to as the passport number. This is a combination of letters and numbers, up to 14 characters long.
- The expiry date is located at the bottom of the passport, either below or next to the passport’s date of issue.
Names on your international passport
- On international passports, family name may be referred to as surname, depending on the country of issue.
- If you have any accents or special characters in your name, you won’t be able to enter them into verification fields. Enter your name as it appears in the machine readable zone of your passport.
Medicare card details
- Your Medicare number is the 10-digit number in the centre of your card, above your name.
- Your Individual Reference Number (IRN) is the number to the left of your name.
- The Valid to date is in the bottom right corner.
- For the standard Medicare card (green) it is written as MM/YYYY,
- For the interim Medicare card (blue) and Reciprocal Health Care Agreement Medicare card (yellow) it is written as DD/MM/YYYY.

- Your card number is on the front of the card, under your date of birth.
