What's Mobility Accelerator and how do I manage it?

From November 14, Mobility Accelerator is being renamed Speed Optimiser. You’ll find everything you need to manage your Speed Optimiser, including your account, in the My Telstra app. Track speeds with near-real time data, check usage and pay bills all in the one place.

What is Speed Optimiser?

Mobile Speed Optimiser prioritises your connection with the Telstra mobile network. It helps improve download speeds for high-bandwidth tasks in busy areas or during times of peak usage such as train stations, airports, shopping centres. Explore Speed Optimiser.

How do I activate Speed Optimiser on the My Telstra app

Activate your account

  1. Sign in to My Telstra. You can sign in via the web or download the My Telstra app.
  2. Select service. Select your mobile service, then select the “Extras” tab.
  3. Select “Speed Optimiser”. Select Speed Optimiser and follow the prompts to activate (it may take up to an hour to come into effect).

How do I manage Speed Optimiser on the My Telstra app

Manage your account

Once activated, you can manage your Speed Optimiser in the My Telstra App:

  1. Select your mobile service, then select the “Extras” tab.
  2. Select “Speed Optimiser” in the “Your extras” section.

Speed Optimiser will also appear in your services summary section.

How do I get help with my account and services using the My Telstra app?

Get help for your account and services through the My Telstra app or in My Telstra in a browser.

Get help with your service

  1. Sign in to the My Telstra app using your Telstra ID.
  2. Go to Get help.
  3. Under Get help with this service, choose from the troubleshooting options suitable for your service and follow the steps to help resolve your issue.
  4. Get help with your other services by selecting Select another service and choosing the service you want help with.
  5. Message us if your issue is not resolved by selecting the blue messaging icon to start a conversation with our Telstra Assistant.

Get help with your account

  1. Sign in to the My Telstra app using your Telstra ID.
  2. Go to Get help.
  3. Locate Get help with something else and select from the options most suited to your issue.
  4. Message us if your issue is not resolved by selecting the blue messaging icon to start a conversation with the Telstra Assistant.
