Information about the service

This is a Foxtel from Telstra service that offers a selection of Foxtel channels within your chosen Pack.

Device information and requirements

  • You must have or purchase a Foxtel from Telstra set-top box plus pay any applicable installation charges.
  • To watch your subscription in HD you need a HD compatible TV, a Foxtel HD recordable device and an HD Foxtel from Telstra subscription (such as Platinum Plus) for the relevant channels.
  • To access 4K features you will need a 4K compatible TV and subscription for relevant 4K channels.
  • To access Netflix on your set top box you will need a Netflix subscription.

In addition to the monthly charge in the Pack Cost table, you may pay the following:

Connection Fee

A $35 connection fee applies once per order where a Professional Installation or Self Install Kit is required.

Installation Charges

Professional Installation - $200

Applies when a technician is required to install a Foxtel set-top box in your premises. Additional costs may apply for non-standard installations and regional service fees. We will quote you for any non-standard charges before we begin work.

 

Self-Install Kit

There are no charges when a self-install kit containing a Foxtel set-top box is delivered to your premises. Self-Install is only offered to eligible customers whose premises comply with pre-qualification questions.

Equipment Charges (if applicable)

Foxtel iQ4 set-top box (for satellite only) - $150

Unrecovered equipment fee - $300 (in circumstances where a set-top box needs to be returned and isn't)

Fees and charges may apply for bill delivery and payment of your invoice, depending on the method.

Other Information

Foxtel GO

You can access Foxtel GO before your Foxtel from Telstra service has been installed.

  1. Download Foxtel GO (data charges apply)
  2. Create a Foxtel ID by registering your account with your date of birth and Foxtel Account Number (detailed in your Foxtel installation notice and is different to your Telstra account number)
  3. You can login to Foxtel GO within 3 hours of creating your Foxtel ID

Foxtel GO requires an internet connection (data charges may apply). Your subscription determines the content you can access.

Netflix in your Foxtel from Telstra package

Charges and Upgrading your Subscription

The included Netflix package gives you access to the Standard 2 Screens subscription. If you want to upgrade to Netflix Premium, you will be charged the difference on your next Telstra bill. 

 

Activation

You will need to follow these steps once your iQ4 or iQ3 is activated:

  1. Navigate to the Netflix app within Foxtel's set top box. Netflix will recognise if a subscription is included in your Foxtel from Telstra package.
  2. Enter the email address you wish to sign up to Netflix or use your existing email address associated with Netflix.
  3. Agree to Netflix’s Terms of Use and Privacy Statement.
  4. Your Netflix payment method will automatically switch to being charged as part of your Foxtel from Telstra package and appear on your next Telstra bill.

We recommend that you sign up to Netflix straight after your set top box activation. If you have an existing Netflix subscription and delay linking your Netflix account to Foxtel, you may continue to be charged via your existing payment method and as part of your Foxtel from Telstra package. 

If you cancel or suspend your Foxtel from Telstra package or move to a package without Netflix, Netflix may revert to charging you via your previous payment method linked to your account. If you wish to cancel, you can do so via Netflix.com.

Understanding my bill

You’re billed in advance for the minimum monthly charge, and in arrears for any usage not included in your plan. Your first bill will be higher if you start your plan part way through a billing period.
