Your Telstra ID gives you access to all your account information with the My Telstra app and online. You’ll be able to view bills, make payments, get help if you need it, track orders, cases and contact us if you need support.

As part of creating your Telstra ID, you’ll also set up a Telstra PIN. Just like a banking PIN, your Telstra PIN adds another layer of security to your account that helps to keep your personal information safe and secure.

How to register for a Telstra ID

You may have received an email from Telstra with a Telstra ID already created. You’ll need to click the link in your email to complete the activation. For security reasons, the link will expire after seven days of receiving the email. If your link has expired, or you want to create your own Telstra ID, simply follow the step below.

Yes, you can create a Telstra ID using your own email address. 

A Telstra ID is the sign-in you’ll need to manage your Telstra account services. When you register for Telstra ID, you’ll create a username and password that you can use to sign in to a range of Telstra apps and services. 

You may already have a Telstra ID if: 

  • You already use one of our online services.  This could include My Telstra in app or in a browser, Telstra Plus or AFL Live Pass 

  • You use Telstra Mail, or have a BigPond or Telstra.com email address 

  • You’ve used the CrowdSupport community.

No problem. Register for a Telstra ID now

To recover your Telstra ID username, follow these steps: 

  1. Go to Recover your username and enter one of the following details: 
    • The email address linked to your Telstra account.
    • Your Telstra home, mobile or account number 
  2. Select Let’s get started and follow the prompts 
  3. If your email address is registered with us, you’ll receive an email with your Telstra ID within 10 minutes. 
    Tip: If you haven’t received anything, please check your junk/spam folder 
  4. In the email, click Sign in. This will take you to My Telstra where you can sign in with your Telstra ID.  
    Tip: If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset your password

To reset your password, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the forgotten password page
  2. Enter your username and confirm you’re not a robot by ticking the box
  3. Click on Send email 
  4. Check for an email from Telstra. This may take up to 10 minutes to arrive
    Tip: If you haven’t received anything, please check your junk/spam folder. If you still haven’t received it, you can click on Resend link from the previous screen
  5. In the email, click on Reset my password
  6. Enter your new password and click Reset password 
    Tip: If you’ve also forgotten your username, you can recover your username.

Download instructions 

  1. Open the App Store (for iPhone and iPad users) or the Google Play (for Android users): 
  2. Search for My Telstra and select to install 
  3. When the End User Terms appear, select Accept to start download 
  4. Good to know: around 50MB (Android) or 100MB (iOS) of data will be used. Use Wi-Fi if you wish to avoid using your mobile data. 
  5. Once it’s finished installing, select Open, or find the My Telstra icon on your screen to launch the app
