Things you need to know

  1. We recommended that your broadband service provides a minimum of 100Kbps uncontended bandwidth per voice line in each direction.

    Telstra Business SIP is compatible with:
    Fixed voice phone systems with an Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) interface:
    - Basic Rate Access (BRA)/Basic Rate Interface (BRI)
    - Primary Rate Access (PRA)/Primary Rate Interface (PRI)

    IP based fixed phone systems with an Ethernet interface that are accredited to operate with Telstra Business SIP®

    You will need to provide your own:
    On premises fixed voice phone system/private automatic branch exchange (PABX)
    Internet service, broadband carriage connection and associated broadband gateway/router

    You must purchase a SIP network termination unit (NTU) as part of your Telstra Business SIP service.
