    Restart your modem

To restart your modem, follow these steps:

    1. Remove the power cable from your modem for 10 seconds, then plug it back in
    2. Wait a few minutes for the modem to reconnect. When reconnected to the internet and powered up, the modem front light will be a solid green, or solid blue if you’re connected to 5G or 4G Telstra Home Wireless.

Restarting your modem will often solve connection problems, so check and see if you’re back online.

    Restart your network connection device

To restart your network connection device, whether it’s an nbn® connection box or an Opticomm optical network terminal, follow these steps:

    1. Switch the device or battery backup unit off at the wall
    2. If you have a backup battery unit, disconnect the power cord running from it into the device. If there’s a cover on your nbn connection box, you’ll need to remove that first
    3. Wait at least two minutes before plugging the battery unit back in and turning your devices back on.
    Important

Once you’ve restarted your device, it could take a few minutes to reconnect to the internet.
