The Telstra Apps Marketplace (TAM) provides access to applications designed for business and enterprise use. This page sets out the online safety information available to Australian users. More information about the Telstra Apps Marketplace.
All applications available through the TAM are business applications intended for use in professional or enterprise environments. TAM does not include any applications which are only suitable for adults (e.g. applications rated R18+).
Access to purchase and download apps is limited to corporate or ABN holders. This measure is designed to ensure that the applications are accessed only by businesses.
Telstra applies an age and/or content ratings approach that is intended to assist Australian end users to assess whether third party apps made available through TAM are suitable for children. In applying this approach, Telstra considers the potential exposure of children to inappropriate content such as online pornography, self-harm material and simulated gambling material.
Telstra assesses and assigns content ratings in accordance with the Australian National Classification Scheme. We use these ratings because they offer an accessible and well‑understood mechanism for end users to assess the suitability of applications for children.
Applications available on TAM are provided by third parties. If you have concerns about content, functionality or conduct within an app, you can report or raise a complaint directly with the relevant app provider. Contact details are shown on the app listing on the TAM via the Support link.
The eSafety Commissioner is Australia's independent regulator for online safety. Their role is to help safeguard you from online harm. If you've experienced cyber bullying, cyber abuse, seen non-consensual images or material that promotes, incites, instructs or depicts abhorrent conduct, please report it to the eSafety Commissioner.
If you:
- have raised an issue with an app provider and it hasn’t been resolved to your satisfaction;
- believe Telstra has not met its obligations under the App Distribution Services Online Safety Code; or
- have any feedback on the age and/or content ratings applied to any third-party app on TAMS;
you can report this directly to us via our Misuse of Service form.
