Once you’ve linked your card, you’ll earn 10 Telstra Plus points per $1 of eligible spend at any participating retailer, online or in store. At some retailers, there may be a minimum spend required. If that is the case, the minimum spend will be shown in the terms of the offer for that retailer, in the My Telstra app.

What purchases don’t earn points?
Points are earned on eligible spend only and exclusions vary by retailer. Common exclusions include gift cards, shipping and delivery fees, fees and surcharges, taxes, tips, cash-out amounts, subscriptions, and amounts paid using store credit or a voucher.
Cancelled, returned, exchanged, refunded or charged back transactions will not earn points (and any points issued will be reversed). Some offers may also exclude amounts reduced by promotional discounts or discount codes. Always check the offer terms for each retailer in the My Telstra app before you shop. Purchases made via a third-party payment provider such as PayPal and Afterpay, or purchases processed via the EFTPOS network are not eligible to receive points.
Are there instances where I might not earn points for eligible transactions?

Things you need to know
Eligibility
You must be a Telstra Plus member to shop and earn points on eligible spend with our partners. Eligibility criteria and standard Telstra Plus Terms and Conditions apply.
Linked cards
Eligible, physical Visa and Mastercard credit or debit cards are cards issued in Australia only and must be linked via the My Telstra app to be eligible to earn Telstra plus points via eligible purchases. Cards can be linked or unlinked at any time via the My Telstra app. Card-linked offers are available via the My Telstra app only. Card-linked offers may be made available to some members and not others. To be eligible to earn points on eligible spend, you must activate the offer (if required) and complete the qualifying purchase within the offer period shown in My Telstra. If an offer expires or is withdrawn before you make a qualifying purchase, no points will be awarded for that offer. If your bank issues you a replacement card and the card number changes, you’ll need to link the new card to keep earning points on eligible spend.
Eligible spend
Points are earned on eligible spend only, as defined by each partner’s offer terms (including any exclusions, minimum spend requirements or caps). Where a minimum spend applies, it must be met in a single qualifying transaction (and can’t be combined across multiple transactions or multiple linked cards). Ineligible spend may include (but is not limited to) gift cards/digital gift cards, shipping and delivery fees, fees and surcharges, taxes, tips, cash-out amounts, amounts paid by store credit, and amounts reduced by promotional discounts or discount codes.
Transaction data and privacy
To operate the shop and earn service, Telstra and its service providers (including Loyalty Now) may collect, use and share limited transaction information (such as transaction amount, merchant identifier and transaction date) to confirm qualifying purchases and award points. Telstra does not receive full card numbers. Personal information is handled in line with Telstra’s Privacy Statement and Loyalty Now’s privacy policy.
Eligible payment types
Not all purchases or payment types may be eligible. For example, purchases made via third-party payment providers (such as PayPal and Afterpay) may not earn points. Points are not earned on Visa and Mastercard debit card transactions processed via the EFTPOS network instead of the Visa or Mastercard network.
Amounts paid using a gift card, store credit, or split across multiple payment methods may be excluded or may not earn points. Returned, cancelled or ineligible transactions will not earn points and will result in any previously issued points being reversed. Points are credited once an eligible transaction is confirmed by our third-party partner, Loyalty Now. Pending activity may appear in the My Telstra app first, then points are added to your Telstra Plus balance after confirmation—allow up to 30 business days.
