Sign in effortlessly

No passwords to remember, no stress.

Help protect from phishing, fraud and data breaches.

How does passkey work?

A passkey uses your device’s biometrics to access your Telstra ID.

Sign in quickly and securely using your face, fingerprint or device lock, such as a PIN or swipe pattern.

Passkeys can be used on your phone, computer or tablet.

Setup takes just a few minutes. Once set up, your passkey will automatically sync across your devices using Apple iCloud or Google Password Manager.

Passkeys are securely encrypted on your device before syncing and must be decrypted on any new device before use.

How to setup passkey

  1. Sign into the My Telstra app

  2. Go to your profile

  3. Scroll to advanced security settings and select sign up for passkey

  4. Add your passkey

Manage your passkey

Yes. Passkeys created are automatically synced across your devices signed in to the same iCloud or Google account.

You can also create a passkey for any device you trust that is not synced to your iCloud or Google account.

To sign in on a different device, use the passkey saved on your phone. First, type in your username, select Use a different phone or tablet, then scan the QR code using your phone camera. If you trust the device, make a passkey for simpler sign-ins later. Or, you can use your username, password, and two-step verification to sign in.

No, each passkey is unique to one device and account. This means you can't use the same passkey for different accounts. This is one of the reasons passkeys are safer than passwords, because they are unique and bound specifically to one website and one account.
