Adaptive Networks NBN Enterprise Ethernet

A leading-edge network for excellent nbn™ service performance

Enterprise Ethernet—part of our Adaptive Networks offering—is designed to meet your unique needs by offering you two access options: High COS and Low COS, with features that fit your business requirements.

Key features

Dedicated connectivity

Fast, dedicated, and diverse fibre connectivity to all 121 nbn Points of Interconnect (POIs), which doesn’t involve additional hops and minimises latency.

Multi-path resiliency

Next-generation optical network connects nbn to our Next IP® network with active two-fibre path redundancy.

Scalable backhaul

Our next-generation optical backhaul is dimensioned to deliver multiple 100G connections once nbn upgrades capacity from 10G to 100G.

Direct connectivity to the Next IP® network

Leverage Telstra’s core network with our 99.9995% availability rate and proactive capacity management of all network links to help work towards zero congestion.

Benefits

Readily available

We work to make sure your service is available when you need it , with direct connectivity to the Next IP® network and triple-path redundancy.

Low install costs

Unlike fibre deployment, Enterprise Ethernet entails minimal contribution from your end, making it a more cost-efficient option for your business.

Options to fit your unique needs

We offer Low and High COS for flexibility in traffic prioritisation for your low-priority and business-critical apps, without compromising performance.

Frequently asked questions

No, UNI-VLAN will be allocated by Telstra and you cannot nominate it.

You are responsible for upstream traffic shaping towards Telstra's network.

The MTU supported by the TID Adapt service is 1500. Note that currently TID Adapt services do not support jumbo frames.

Configuring an upstream shaper on your router means traffic sent towards Telstra's network adheres to the purchased speed which is enforced by the NBN B-NTD (Network Termination Device).

Telstra recommends you shape each of you purchased Adaptive Network service(s) i.e., BIP Adapt, TID Premium Adapt, etc, according to each of the purchased Adaptive Network service speeds to avoid any packet drops, which can result in suboptimal throughput on your service.

The diagram below shows how the logical relationship between Access service speed and Adapt service speed.
