Do business faster with high-speed connectivity over dedicated infrastructure

Your business needs reliably high-performance, secure connectivity to support critical applications that are increasingly bandwidth hungry.

Designed for main offices, branch sites and data centres less than 50km apart, our Telstra Wavelength Service offers high-speed fibre connectivity that can support a range of different enterprise applications. Whether you need speed of 1Gpbs or 100Gbps, we make sure your business can cost-effectively scale your solutions to meet your changing needs.

Telstra Wavelength Service helps you protect your company against security threats by using a private fibre network, while also mitigating the performance issues inherent in a shared network. And your business also benefits from around-the-clock monitoring and proactive management – as well as the option of diverse paths for redundancy.

Key features

High-bandwidth connectivity for your critical data

We offer high-performance for your critical apps via Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexers (DWDM) or Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexers (CWDM) to transmit multiple channels between sites.

Flexible carriage for your unique needs

From dedicated, unshared fibre on a single path to diverse dual paths for redundancy, we offer a range of options to meet your requirements.

Support when you need it

Get peace of mind with around-the-clock network monitoring and management, as well as proactive restoration, helpdesk, and on-premise equipment and support.

Benefits

Improve productivity and efficiency

Empower your people to work at their best with up to 100Gbps bandwidth options that avoid the latency, contention and delay issues that can happen in shared networks.

Keep your business running, securely

Use our dedicated infrastructure to boost security and enhance business continuity. Our diverse dual path protected option, supported by proactive monitoring and management, offers up to 99.99% target network availability.

Flexible, dynamic networks to adapt quickly to change

Be sure your network will adapt to your changing needs by taking advantage of multi-protocol support, customisable hardware, wavelength division multiplexing and scalable bandwidth.

How it works

The Telstra Wavelength Services works using point-to-point connectivity over a dedicated fibre connection. We install a network termination unit (NTU) at each end-point, and support your infrastructure with network management links to monitor the carriage.

We use on-premise Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexers (DWDM) or Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexers (CWDM) to transmit multiple channels between sites. And we ensure flexibility with support for a range of protocols including Ethernet, Fibre Channel, Ficon, Escon and Infiniband.

Our Telstra Managed Data Networks service continuously monitors your network and hardware, and proactively restores the service in the case of a fault.

If you need extra business continuity assurance, we offer three diverse dual fibre path options, each with different levels of hardware redundancy.
