How do I make calls while overseas?

If you’ve enabled an International Day Pass on your mobile, you can make calls back home to Australia, to any other country around the world and within the country you’re visiting. 

To call an Australian fixed line while overseas: 

  1. + 6 1  
  2. Area code without the leading 0  
  3. Phone number  

E.g. To call 03 9000 0000, dial +61390000000 

To call an Australian mobile while overseas: 

  1. + 6 1  
  2. Mobile number without the leading 0  

E.g. To call 0436 014 940, dial +61436014940 

To call a fixed line in any other country: 

  1. +  
  2. Country code  
  3. Area code without the leading 0  
  4. Phone number  

E.g. To call the USA (country code 1), 917-555-4567, dial +1 917-555-4567  

To call a local fixed line within the country you’re visiting: 

  1. Local area code  
  2. Phone number  

E.g. To call locally (917) 555-4567, dial 555-4567  

To call a local mobile within the country you’re visiting: 

  1. Mobile number  

E.g. To call 917-555-1234 you will dial 917-555-1234
