From backing local footy clubs through Telstra Footy Grants through to supporting the young guns of the next generation with the Telstra AFL & AFLW Draft and Rising Star programs, we're proud to be investing in the future of the game and its communities.
We've teamed up with the AFL to support local footy clubs nationally. Launched in 2024 with an $8 million investment over 4 years, Telstra Footy Grants gives junior and senior AFL clubs the opportunity to apply for funding of up to $20,000 for direct support where they need it most.
Whether your club needs a new line marking machine, new netting behind the goals or resources for your volunteers, these grants could help give your club a boost. So far, almost 1200 local footy clubs have benefitted from their share in the $2 million funding pool.
We’re proud to be supporting the next generation of footy stars through the Telstra AFL and AFLW Rising Star Awards. Every round, a player is nominated, with the overall winner announced at the AFL Awards and W Awards at the end of the year.
Backing the young guns of the future is also important. The Telstra AFL and AFLW Draft and Combine is an opportunity for the most talented up and coming players to be selected by the AFL and AFLW clubs.
