Privacy
No video footage is recorded and no Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data is captured.
Data sovereignty
Our data is stored in Australia on Microsoft Azure Cloud servers and subject to Australian laws. We also do not send any data offshore.
Security accredited technicians
Our professional installation technicians hold the appropriate security licences for all relevant states and territories and have been vetted by the Australian Federal Police.
Customised mobility analytics
You can customise virtual zones using our ‘trip lines’ and ‘polygons’ functions. These allow you to gain additional insights including utilisation, dwell-time and direction of movement.
AI Ethics
Telstra participated in the pilot project during the federal government’s development of the national AI Ethics framework. We have embedded these 8 principles throughout the Telstra Spatial Insights™ life cycle.
Customised Reporting
You can splice, aggregate, and compare your data across multiple locations by using our ‘meta-tagging’ functions.
API Integration
We can provide API’s for integration with existing dashboards. Our Telstra Purple team can assist you with any customisation work that you may require.
Data Ownership
The count data from your Telstra Spatial Insights™ solution will be owned by you.

Hardware
Camera
The Camera-as-a-sensor is used to capture a high quality video feed which links into the Edge compute device.
Edge Compute Device
The Edge Compute device is set up onsite to process vision feeds from the camera.
Enclosure box
The Enclosure box is used to used to house the Edge Compute device for all outdoor installations. The antenna allows the processed data to be transmitted to local cloud servers over the Telstra 4G Mobile network.
Licences
Licencing
There is a monthly licencing fee per camera and edge compute device per month as well as a Managed Services fee. This is calculated based on the components that comprise your final solution.

Telstra Spatial Insights™ is a data driven analytics solution that generates insights on how open spaces, built environments, transport links and other government assets are utilised. These insights drive evidence based, cost effective and near real-time planning decisions.
Working together with our national installation partners, The Telstra Spatial Insights™ team will work collaboratively with you to understand your problem, your space and how our solution can be implemented to help meet your needs. Once this has been determined, our installation partner will visit your site to install and configure the hardware. Post installation, access to an online reporting tool to view data on the sites will be provided. Integration via APIs into your existing dashboards can also be arranged.
