Telstra celebrates top partners

Media Release, 06 August 2020

Telstra today announced its best-performing Enterprise partners at the Telstra Enterprise Partner Awards. The awards celebrated 25 winning channel partners at a virtual event to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of partners last financial year.

This year saw the introduction of the Community Spirit Award in recognition of partners going above and beyond to keep Telstra customers connected during COVID-19. Unified Communication specialist Ericom picked up this award for the initiatives it deployed to help non-profit organisations with setting up help-desks, remote working and visitation solutions.

Enterprise Partner of the Year went to Melbourne-based telecommunications specialist Star 21, which was recognised with two additional awards for Victoria Partner and Mobility Partner of the Year.

“We’re thrilled to recognise our leading partners in what was a challenging and unpredictable year,” said Nevash Pillay, Executive, Channel Partner Sales, Telstra Enterprise.

“Our partners have been vital in supporting organisations across Australia navigate the hurdles COVID-19 has presented. This year’s virtual awards are about bringing a sense of togetherness and supporting each other as a partner community.”

Telstra also recognised partners for their outstanding support in regional and remote areas across Australia. Emerging Partner of the Year went to service management provider Pinnacle IT for its focus on keeping customers in regional Queensland connected. The Customer Excellence Award went to Calibre One for digitally transforming over 63 communities and 250 site locations across the Northern Territory in partnership with Telstra, Cisco and Microsoft.

Telstra Enterprise Partner Manager Sumeet Patel was named the Telstra Channel Champion for 2020 in recognition of his advocacy and support for partners in the development of their channel strategies.

Special guests Rachel Bondi, Chief Partner Officer, Microsoft Australia, announced Generation-E as the Telstra Microsoft Partner of the Year, while Luke Power, Director, Cisco Partner Organisation ANZ, announced Ericom as the Telstra Cisco Partner of the Year for the second year running.
