Telstra Plus Movie Gold Pass Promotion - Terms and Conditions

The promotion starts at 10am AEST 9 May 2024 to 12pm AEST 28 June 2024 ("promotion period").

The prize allocation will be determined by TPAL computerised random draw system. Our decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The draw will take place in the presence of an independent scrutineer on 1 July 2024 at 3pm AEST at Level 2/11 York St, Sydney NSW 2000.

Winners will be notified by an email with the details of the prize they have won and how to claim it on 5 July, and names published on Telstra Plus by 5 July 2024.

Entry to the promotion is open to all Australian residents (except ACT) who are Telstra customers, who have joined Telstra Plus and who are 18 years of age or older.  Excludes enterprise and corporate accounts.  Telstra employees who work with the Telstra Plus program and their agents, contractors and other companies associated with the promotion and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

To enter you must, during the promotion period have an active Telstra account and:

1. join Telstra Plus and purchase an Event Cinema or Village Cinema movie ticket via Telstra Plus within the promotion period OR
2. be an existing Telstra Plus member and purchase an Event Cinema or Village Cinema movie ticket via via www.telstra.com.au/plus within the promotion period.

Only one entry per member will be accepted. Entries are accepted at the time of receipt by us.

Maximum of one prize awarded per member.

A customer may only join Telstra Plus once during the promotion period. If a customer leaves Telstra Plus and joins again during the promotion period, the membership will be ineligible to enter the promotion and deemed invalid to win a prize.

We may also disqualify entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions.

The prize pool consists of 12 prizes. Winners will be allocated an Event Cinema Gold Pass or Village Cinema Gold Pass based on where they live. Winners who live in NSW, QLD, WA, SA or NT will be issued with an Event Cinema Gold Pass. Winners who live in VIC or TAS will be issued with a Village Cinema Gold Pass.

Event Cinemas

Gold Pass is valid for an active Cinebuzz member only and is valid for one single use per day. Only Valid at Event Cinemas and BCC Cinemas in Australia. Valid for session excluding Saturday night after 5pm, not valid for Gold Class, 4DX, Screen X, 3D Sessions, group bookings, special events, movie marathons or in conjunction with any other offer or promotion unless otherwise stated. This pass is not transferable and cannot be sold or exchanged for cash or other gift products. Gold Pass will be loaded onto a single nominated Cinebuzz Account, once used, will not be able to retrieve back. Cinebuzz member to book tickets via their Cinebuzz account online or at the Box Office. Gold Pass is valid for 12 months after being issued.

Village Cinemas

This pass is valid for two complimentary tickets at all Village Cinemas. Only two complimentary tickets per session permitted. Seating is subject to availability. Not valid for movie sessions starting after 5pm on Saturday. Not valid for Gold Class, group bookings, special events, movie marathons or in conjunction with any other offer or promotion unless otherwise stated. This pass is not transferable and cannot be sold or exchanged for cash or other gift products. Complimentary tickets will only be issued 30 minutes prior to session start time, cardholder is to present the card at the Ticket Box / Candy Bar no more than 30 minutes prior to the session start time to receive a maximum of 2 tickets to a standard movie session. The tickets are for the cardholder and 1 guest (the cardholder must attend the session). Gold Pass is valid for 12 months after being issued.

Movie Gold Pass ticket is valued at approx. $4,927.50 (incl GST) at Event Cinemas and at approx. $9,855 at Village Cinemas.

The total prize pool value is up to $118,260 (incl. GST).

Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and are not redeemable for cash.

Movie Gold Pass ticket is valid for 12 months from activation. Ticket cannot be amended or extended.

Tickets are subject to standard ticket terms and conditions and are subject to change. The terms and conditions which apply for the use of the tickets at the time they are issued to the winner will prevail over these terms and conditions to the extent of any inconsistency.

Any other travel costs are not included in the prizes, and all other expenses become the responsibility of the winners.

All prizes from the advertised prize pool will be distributed through the current Telstra fulfilment process and winners email sent from Event Hub.

Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason whatsoever a winner does not redeem a prize or an element of the prize by 11am AEDT 15 July 2024, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu.

If required, an unclaimed prize draw will take place on 17 July 2024, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. The draw will be attended by an independent scrutineer (if required) and will take place at 11am AEST at 2 York St, Sydney NSW 2000. Winners will be contacted via email within two business days of the draw. Winner’s names will be published on Telstra Plus by 19 July 2024.

If you are the winner, we may contact you about the promotion, and take photos of you, and use your comments and photos for promotional and marketing purposes.  If we do so, you grant us a royalty free, perpetual, and irrevocable licence to use your comments and the photos for such purposes.

We may use and disclose the information you provide in submitting an entry on the terms and for the purposes set out in our Privacy Statement, and as required to conduct this promotion, which may include disclosing that information to prize suppliers. View Privacy Statement or call 13 22 00.

If we are unable to provide a winner with a prize (or part of a prize), we will supply an alternative prize (or that part of the prize) of equal or greater monetary value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.

We reserve the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and address) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process.

If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are not able to conduct the promotion as anticipated, we may, unless to do so would be prohibited by law, disqualify any entrant, or subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, cancel, suspend, modify or terminate the promotion.

To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any loss or damage or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the promotion including the prize or the taking of the prize. We accept no responsibility for any tax liabilities that may arise from winning the prize. 

We are not liable for any prize that may be lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way after it leaves us.
