Why get a console from Telstra?

Good question. It’s not like you can’t already get a console in a lot of places! But we’ve got something others are missing, and that’s a range of ways to pay.

You can certainly buy a Nintendo Switch console from us outright, but we’ll offer you the ability to pay monthly for the console.

That means it isn’t a such a blow to your wallet all at once!

And, we don’t charge a cent extra to do so. We simply take the RRP and split it up over 12- or 24-months. No interest, no store cards, no fuss.

That means instead of buying a top-of-the-range Nintendo Switch - OLED Model console and watching $539 leave your account all at once, you can pay either $44.91 every month for 12-months or $22.45 a month over 24-months. It’s budget-friendly gaming.

And if you suddenly need to cancel the monthly instalments, simply pay out what’s remaining and you’re done. No penalties or ‘break-fees’.

Plus, as you pay it off, you earn Telstra Plus rewards points which can net you a whole bunch of rewards on our Rewards Store, as well as access to cheap movie tickets and exclusive pre-sales.

So what’s on offer?

Nintendo Switch

Nintendo Switch redefined portable gaming when it was released. To this day, it delights gamers of all ages, with a range of games to match.

Nintendo Switch can seamlessly transition between handheld mode for on-the-go gaming and docked mode which projects the game onto your home TV. Its innovative design, combining the convenience of a portable device with the immersive experience of a home console, has captured the hearts of gamers worldwide.

Whether you're exploring vast open worlds on the go or gathering around the TV for multiplayer fun with family and friends, Nintendo Switch provides endless entertainment possibilities.

We’ll have it on offer in the Neon Blue and Neon Red variant from $469 outright, or $39.08 a month for 12-months, or $19.54 a month for 24-months.

Nintendo Switch - OLED Model

Nintendo Switch - OLED Model fits in the same footprint, but offers a whole lot more.

Firstly, the most notable upgrade is the inclusion of a larger 7-inch OLED screen with vibrant colors, deeper blacks, and improved contrast, providing a more immersive visual experience.

Additionally, the Nintendo Switch - OLED Model features a wider adjustable stand for better stability and viewing angles in tabletop mode, making it easier to enjoy multiplayer gaming sessions.

Nintendo also improved the onboard storage capacity, offering 64GB of internal storage compared to the original Nintendo Switch's 32GB, providing more space for game downloads and digital content.

The sound experience also got a boost, with the Nintendo Switch - OLED Model boasting enhanced audio for handheld and tabletop modes, delivering crisper sound quality for an immersive gaming experience.

We’ll have it on offer in the White variant from $529 outright, or $44.91 a month for 12-months, or $22.45 a month for 24-months.

Nintendo Switch Lite

Nintendo Switch Lite is tonne of fun for gamers on the go.

It’s a handheld-only version of the Nintendo Switch, meaning that it doesn’t offer a docked mode for your TV. The controllers also don’t detach like the Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch - OLED Model, and there’s no kickstand. This one’s just for the mobile gaming warriors.

Whether you're commuting, traveling, or simply lounging at home, the Nintendo Switch Lite is easy to carry around and play anytime, anywhere.

Additionally, the integrated design and built-in controls make it more durable and resistant to wear and tear, making it ideal for younger gamers or those who prefer a simpler setup.

Nintendo Switch Lite also comes at a lower price point compared to the original Nintendo Switch, making it a more budget-friendly option for gamers who primarily use their console in handheld mode and don't need the additional features of the original Nintendo Switch.

We’ll have it in the Turquoise variant for $329 outright, or $27.41 a month for 12-months, or just $13.70 per month for 24-months.

Being able to pay it off over 12- or 24-months means you can get yourself a second Nintendo Switch for on-the-go play (as many do!) without hitting your hip pocket all-at-once.

Accessories

We’ll also have accessories on offer* so you can complete your Nintendo Switch console’s signature look.

On offer from 14 May, 2024 will be the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Controller Pair in Blue/Neon Yellow, Neon Green/Neon Pink and Neon Purple/Neon Orange. These will go on sale for $119 for the pair.

Hardcore players who want the competitive edge can instead pick up the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller in black for $99.

The difference? The Nintendo Switch Joy-Con offer the traditional Nintendo Switch experience. You can use them in a range of different playstyles, from one in each hand, one each for you and a friend for multiplayer play or even for motion control support (provided the game you’re playing supports it).

The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, on the other hand, offers a more traditional gaming setup with a comfortable grip and familiar button layout, ideal for longer gaming sessions and precise control.

Check out the full Nintendo Switch range on Telstra.com to purchase.

* The Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Controllers and the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller are only available for outright purchase and cannot be added to 12- or 24-month repayment options.
