Our Extranet APN service includes a technical “look-up” feature designed to help users identify the IP address of their devices that are connected to the Extranet APN Service gateway. “Look-up” is primarily used as a diagnostic tool for ascertaining the public IP address of your devices that are connected to the Telstra network.

As part of our simplification strategy, we will be discontinuing the “look-up” diagnostic tool from 31 March 2023. Note that our Extranet APN service will not be impacted by this discontinuation and only the “look-up” feature will cease. Devices using the Extranet APN service will continue to connect to our network via this gateway.

Following the discontinuation of the “look-up” feature, you may consider using an alternative third party Dynamic Domain Name Service (DDNS) provider if you still require the ability to identify the IP address of your device.
