PS5 Slim Disc Console: This version of the console features a built-in Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive, allowing you to play physical disc-based games and Blu-ray movies. With this model, you have the option to purchase physical game discs from retailers or borrow games from friends. You can also use the disc drive to play compatible media, such as DVDs and Blu-ray discs.
PS5 Slim Digital Console: The digital edition of the PS5 does not include a disc drive. Instead, it relies solely on digital downloads for games, movies, and other content. You can purchase and download games directly from the PlayStation Store or access digital content through various subscription services. Without a disc drive, the digital edition has a sleeker and more compact design compared to the disc edition.
Ultimately, the choice between the two versions depends on your preference for physical media and whether you prioritise having the option to play disc-based games or prefer the convenience of digital downloads.

Yes, you can use Telstra Plus points to cover all or part of the cost of the PS5 Slim console on the Telstra Plus store.
- No minimum term or early termination charges apply. However, if you choose the monthly repayment option, you must pay us the applicable monthly charge above each month for 12 or 24 months, depending on which monthly repayment option you choose. If our agreement with you for the purchase of your PlayStation console (or any part of it) is terminated before you finish paying your monthly repayments then, on termination, you must pay us all outstanding charges for your PlayStation console.
- Only customers with an existing eligible fixed or post-paid mobile service, or new month-to-month plan are eligible for monthly repayment options. Maximum 5 add-ons per customer at any one time. If you cancel an add-on early or cancel your existing fixed or post-paid mobile service(s), or cancel your month-to-month plan, your add-on repayment will also terminate, and you’ll be required to pay out the remainder of your add-on(s).
- To fully experience 4K resolution when watching 4K Blu-ray discs, you will need a 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD) TV.
