Telstra Plus members can access discounted movie tickets for standard adult, standard child, Gold Class Thursdays, V-Max, IMAX, IMAX Child, 3D, and Moonlight Cinemas, available online for Event Cinemas, Greater Union, Birch Carroll & Coyle, and Village Cinemas in Australia. Members can choose to use their Telstra Plus points to purchase the discounted movie tickets, or earn points when purchasing the discounted tickets with standard payment methods (e.g. credit card, PayPal). Discounted ticket price does not include online booking fee.
You must be a Telstra Plus member and the Legal Lessee, Account Owner, or Full Authority on the account to be eligible for this offer. Any T+ member may purchase discounted tickets with standard payment methods. To purchase tickets with points you must have sufficient Telstra Plus points.
- Sign in to your Telstra Plus account using your Telstra ID & password
- Go to the Telstra Plus tickets page and use the movie selector
- You will be taken to the Event Cinemas or Village Cinemas website. Note: You must be signed into Telstra Plus before proceeding to the Event/Village site to redeem points for tickets
- You will be presented with the option to use Telstra Plus points as payment for your movie ticket purchase. Confirm the number of tickets you require. You can also choose to purchase additional tickets using standard payment methods (e.g. credit card, PayPal).
- During the process you will be prompted to sign in or join Cinebuzz Rewards or Vrewards. You need to be a member to be eligible for the Telstra Plus offer.
Event Cinemas
You can change the date, time, movie, or seat, provided the new session is the same ticket type (you can't change your ticket to a ticket of different value). Bookings can be changed up to 2 hours before your session time. If the session has already passed, you can not swap a booking. You will need to book the correct session and then submit a request for a refund.
If you booked the wrong cinema location, you will need to book a new session at the desired location and follow the process for a cancellation and refund.
Cancellation: no cancellations are allowed however there are circumstances where a cancellation and points refund may occur. Please refer to the Event Cinemas T&Cs or contact Event Cinemas for further details.
Village Cinemas
You may change your seat(s) within the same session.
If you need to change your session or ticket type, you will need to cancel your booking and then book a new session. Sign in to Vrewards to visit the member portal and select My Future Bookings to manage your upcoming Village Cinemas bookings. Your Telstra Points for the cancelled booking will be refunded to you within 14 days.
No, you must have sufficient Telstra Plus points to redeem the offer at the full amounts shown; no partial payments are allowed.
- Online booking fees apply per ticket. Points can’t be used for, or earned on, booking fees.
- Peak time applies after 5pm on Saturdays and on public holidays. $3 surcharge applies on all peak time tickets. When redeeming points for tickets, the surcharge is included in the points value.
You can earn Telstra Plus points by purchasing Telstra Plus discounted movie tickets from either Event Cinemas or Village Cinemas. You must sign in to Telstra Plus and follow the links to Event Cinemas or Village Cinemas. Points can’t be earned on food and beverage purchases, booking fees or surcharges.
Telstra Plus members can earn 10 points per $1 on payments towards Telstra Plus discounted movie tickets purchased online through Event Cinemas or Village Cinemas. Points are not earned on surcharges and credit and refunds are excluded from earning points. Must sign in to Telstra Plus account and follow links to Event Cinemas or Village Cinemas. Points can’t be earned on food and beverage purchases, booking fees or surcharges.
No. You need to make sure you have signed in to Telstra Plus before proceeding to the Event Cinemas or Village Cinemas website. You can access this from the Telstra Plus tickets page.
Points are recorded after your movie session has finished. Your points will be added to your account within 14 days.

Yes. In addition to the Telstra Plus points you earn on the Telstra Plus discounted member tickets, you will also earn Vrewards points. Please refer to the Vrewards terms and conditions for earning points.
Yes, you can earn Telstra Plus points on group bookings of up to 10 tickets per transaction.
Yes, you must be a member of Cinebuzz Rewards or Vrewards to access the offer. Cinebuzz Rewards and Vrewards members receive access to additional benefits and both programs are free to join.
Yes. You can redeem Telstra Plus points for tickets (if you have sufficient points available) and earn Telstra Plus points on the purchase of any additional tickets.
For example, if you redeem points for 2 tickets and then want to purchase an additional 3 tickets, you can earn points on the 3 additional tickets purchased. Booking fees apply per ticket.
Make sure you have signed in to Telstra Plus before proceeding to select tickets on the Event Cinemas or Village Cinemas website. If you have signed in directly to Cinebuzz Rewards or Vrewards you will not see the Telstra Plus discounted ticket options.

- Check the email inbox you entered and the spam and bin folders. You may also need to check other default folders that your email application may use. For example "Promotions" or "Social" folders.
- Check you've waited an hour since submitting your order. Your tickets will be emailed to you instantly however delivery may be subject to your mail server and connection conditions.
- If neither of the above work please contact Event Cinemas support.
Village Cinemas

The terms standard and original all refer to standard off-peak ticket prices of $13.50 for adults and $11.50 for children.
