To pair your devices, both your sensor and your Telstra Smart Home Hub must be in pairing mode and be within five meters of each other. To extend battery life, sensors only stay in pairing mode for a short time. If you’ve missed the pairing window, you can reset your sensor to return to pairing mode and try again.

Find instructions for resetting different sensor types below.

Smart plug

  1. Turn off the power point, but leave the smart plug plugged in.

  2. While holding down the Pair button on the smart plug, turn on the power point.

Note: if your power point doesn’t have a switch, just unplug the smart plug and while holding down the pair button, plug it back in.

  3. The red light on the front of the smart plug will blink when it’s been reset and is in pairing mode.

  4. Return to the pairing screen in the app.

Door or window sensor

  1. Open your sensor and remove the battery.

  2. Locate the small black button.

  3. While pressing the small black button, replace the battery.

  4. Release the black button. Once you’ve done this successfully, a green light will blink three times every five seconds. Your sensor should now be reset and in pairing mode.

  5. Return to the pairing screen in the app.

  3. Locate the tamper spring.
  4. While holding the tamper button, reinsert the battery and close the top cover. A light will blink when the sensor is back in pairing mode.

Zen Thermostat

If you have trouble, press the Network button 10 times to ‘Leave’, and then try the pairing process again. We do not recommended performing a factory reset of the thermostat as it will erase all configurations.

Lockwood Digital Deadbolt

If your lock didn’t pair on the first try, it's best to try again rather than reset it.

  1. Touch the black keypad on the front of the lock with the back of your hand to activate it
  2. Enter your master pin code followed by the # key. The lock will respond: "Menu mode, enter number, press the # key to continue.

Note: if you haven’t already, you’ll need to set up a master pin code before proceeding

  3. Enter '7' followed by the # key
  4. Enter '1' followed by the # key. Your lock will be in pairing mode.
  5. In the app, select Back to return to the previous screen, and then select Continue.
  6. Once paired, your lock will say “Completed” and will appear on the screen with a green tick. This may take a couple of minutes.

If pairing fails after several attempts, please call us on 13 22 00 and say “smart home support”.

Water leak detector

  1. Open the leak detector by removing the lid.
  2. Remove the battery.
  3. Press the reset button (as indicated in diagram) for three seconds, then reinsert the battery.

LED floodlight with motion sensor

If your bulb didn’t pair, you can reactivate pairing mode by switching it on and off again.

If switching the bulb on and off again doesn’t work, you can perform a factory reset by turning the power off and on 20 times in quick succession. The bulb will flash four times when it has been successfully reset.
